La bait for bleak chrysalis-scented is particularly suitable for surface baiting, especially when fishing in lakes or canals with little current.

La bait for bleak chrysalis-scented has several properties:

  • Composition and aroma. Bait for bleak has an intense and inviting aroma and contains as its main ingredient chrysalis meal, obtained from the cocoons of silkworms.
  • Very fine grain size. This bait has a very fine, almost impalpable grain size, which allows it to create a clear, persistent cloud when submerged in water. The very fine grain is essential for surface baiting, preventing the bait from sinking quickly.
  • Attractive cloud effect. Thanks to its fine grain and released aromas, chrysalis-scented bait creates a very inviting cloud effect that attracts bleak and smallmouth bass. This cloud effect is persistent and keeps fish concentrated in the feeding area for a prolonged period.
  • Use in still waters. This type of bait is particularly effective in still waters or with very slow currents, where the odour cloud is not dispersed.

BUT THE BLEAK... WHO IS IT?

The alborella(Alburnus arborella), is a freshwater fish belonging to the Cyprinidae family. This fish is native to the Po Valley and other areas of northern Italy, where it lives mainly in lake and slow-flowing waters that are sufficiently transparent and rich in oxygen.

  • Appearance. The bleak has an elongated, slender body with an almost straight dorsal profile. Its back is greenish brown with silvery highlights on the sides and belly.
  • Habitat. It prefers clear, well-oxygenated waters, with little submerged vegetation. It is common in deep lakes of glacial origin and in slow-flowing rivers.
  • Feeding. It is an omnivorous fish that feeds mainly on small invertebrates and aquatic vegetation. Its diet may also include plankton.

HOW DO YOU FISH FOR BLEAK?

The Prey are attracted to several factors, which can be exploited effectively in fishing:

  • Pasture.Prey are particularly attracted to pastures with intense aromas such as chrysalis meal, caraway, star anise and vanilla, but these must be dosed sparingly so as not to be excessive.
  • Ingredients Attractants. Ingredients such as Belgian coconut and milk powder can be added to modify the behaviour of the bait, making it more or less disintegrating and varying its colour.
  • Padding techniques. The bait must be very wet to create a halo on first contact with the water. Baiting should be done with small but frequent casts to keep the fish's attention at all times.
  • Lures. The most common bait for bleak is the 'tozzetto' of various colours, but you can also use the classic bigattino, although it can lead to more 'slicks' (missed catches).

If you want to improve your fishing sessions and achieve extraordinary results, the Chrysalis-scented bleak bait is the ideal choice. Thanks to its specially designed composition and intense aroma, this bait will attract bleak and keep them in the fishing area to increase their chances of catching them.
