Anatomy of a mix
The basis of a balanced mix generally lies a base of plant-based flours (60/80% of the recipe), such as of soybean flour, semolina, rice flour, corn flour, and wheat flour. Milk powder can also be used alternatively or in combination. Complementary ingredients can be added to this base to balance taste, aroma and nutritional values depending on the different situation we will be fishing in. These include animal flours, supplements and mash (20/40% of the recipe) to spices and colorants that finish our mix.
Hyper protein mixes
Ideal in fall season, when carp are preparing for a "metabolic hibernation and thus seek particularly nutritious foods, are animal meal-based mixes.
